What have you learnt about new technologies from the process of creating this product?
What have you learnt about new
technologies from the process of creating this product?
Presentation
Methods
During my
evaluation, I used a number of various methods. For example, I created
presentations and then uploaded them using Slideshare and Prezi. I also used my
mobile phone to record the videos in which I answered the questions.
Software
I used a
number of different software's to create my media product. I used Photoshop to
create the front cover and contents page, and then used In Design to create my
double page article. I used Google which helped me into media research and
helped with targeting my audience.
Prosumer
In the age
of Web2.0 I am now a prosumer - a producer and a consumer of a digital media
product. However previously, the only people to see my product were teachers,
the examiners and friends; it's now on my blog on the internet for millions of
people to see.

Ways in which my media product uses, develops or challenges forms and conventions of real media products?
My media product uses many conventions of a real media product. By using a
house style of black, white and red, it made the magazine available to a range
of audiences, whilst meeting my target audience of 14-18 year old girls. The
image that I used is of a girl around this age which makes the audience feel as
though they can relate to her and will therefore be more likely to buy the
magazine. Whilst looking at real media products, I noticed that the most
popular way to advertise the stories which would be featured inside the
magazine was on the side. I therefore decied to use this approach, although it
wouldnt make my magazine stand out from others, i found it fitted in with
making my magazine look professional. As my magazine is a music magazine, I
found it sensible to make sure all of my stories were music related. I used
artists that my target audience would recognize making the magazine more likely
to be purchased by them. I also included competitions which were more than
likely going to make people want to buy the magazine. BY using a medium shot,
it give the people a clear view of the model and her age.

Finished Contents Page
Today I finished my contents page. I added a photo of a new band that would be included within the stories in my contents. This took up some of the white space I didn't know how to fill. I also pulled the red lines across and included more detail into each of the story. This means the reader will have more of an idea of what is going on without having to the read the full thing.

Contents Page Progress
I have made some changes to my contents page. I added a banner along the bottom of my page to make it look more consistent as my front cover also has one of these. I added a picture of a different artist and included her in my contents stories by including an interview with her. Now I need to write more stories and find a suitable picture for the white gap on my contents page.

Contents Page Progress
Over the past week, I have added more stories to my contents and included a subscribe box. The stories are in black writing with a red line underneath on a white background. I chose to do this as all of these colours are in my house style and therefore by maintaining this it makes the three pages I have created look more professional. The subscribe box will draw in a reader as it includes offers that make the magazine accessible to them more often. I now need to think of something that will fill the blank bit on my page.

Contents Page
Today I started creating my contents page for my magazine. When doing this I had to make sure it looked professional by adding in numbers. The colours had to match with the ones I used for my front cover and my double page article.

Finished Double Page Article
Today I eventually finished my double page article. I used the same house style I used on my front cover and will be using on my contents page. I added a quote around the edge of the photo which is said by the model. When I added my article into the writing frame, it didn't take up enough space, therefore I had to include a block of colour and add 'top 5 interesting facts'. This took up some of the space so that my first page didn't look empty. I used a medium shot to take up the second page and had to add a colour behind the model to make the image stand out more on the white background.
